Classification and characteristics of industrial belts
Industrial belts are divided into three categories: industrial transmission belts, automobile transmission belts and conveyor belts. The first two belong to the transmission belt. The transmission belt is used to transmit mechanical power, including flat transmission tape and triangular transmission tape (V-shaped tape).
Industrial belt is composed of rubber and reinforced materials (such as cotton canvas, rayon, synthetic fiber or steel wire, etc.). It is made of multi-layer rubber canvas, synthetic fiber fabric, cord and steel wire as a tensile layer, covered with rubber and then formed and vulcanized. Compared with gear transmission and chain transmission, the belt transmission has the advantages of simple mechanism, low noise and low equipment cost, and is widely used in various power transmission. The endless belt driven on the machine is sleeved on two belt pulleys, mostly made of cowhide or core rubber, commonly known as belt.
The transmission belt in the industrial belt is the power generated by the rotation of the motor or engine of the prime mover, and is transmitted to the mechanical equipment through the belt through the belt, so it is also called the power belt. It is the core connecting component of electromechanical equipment, with a wide variety of uses and extremely versatile uses.
(1) Conveyor belts in industrial belts: Conveyor belts are the most widely used among all industrial belts, and they are also the most familiar ones. For example, factory production line equipment is a common conveyor belt. As a representative of industrial belts, conveyor belts are the most abundant in material selection and market, and high flexibility is one of the main characteristics of conveyor belts. In addition, the conveyor belt can be divided into cotton canvas conveyor belt, nylon (NN) conveyor belt, polyester (EP) conveyor belt, PVC or PVG according to material.
(2) Characteristics of transmission belt in industrial belt: Industrial transmission belt is mainly used for electromechanical equipment, which is driven by the power generated by the motor. Common precision machinery industries such as home appliances, computers, robots, etc. will be applied to the industrial transmission belt series.
(3) Automotive transmission belts in industrial belts: Automotive transmission belts are connecting devices used to drive machines on automobile engines. Automotive transmission belts mainly include agricultural machine belts, high-speed oil-proof belts, round belts (round belts), flat belts, water tower belts (wide-angle belts), transmission belts, motorcycle transmission belts, V-belts (V belts), parallel belts, Multi-groove belt, hexagonal belt, flexible belt, traction belt, car belt, etc.
