  The deviation of the conveyor belt is the most common fault of the belt conveyor. Its timely and accurate treatment is the guarantee of its safe and stable operation. There are many phenomena and causes of deviations, and it is necessary to adopt different adjustment methods according to different deviations and reasons to effectively solve the problem. This article is based on many years of field practice, from the perspective of users, using mechanical principles to analyze and explain the causes and treatment methods of such failures.    The axis of the head-driven roller or tail-redirecting roller is not perpendicular to the conveyor centerline, causing the conveyor belt to deflect at the head roller or tail-redirecting roller. When the roller is skewed, the tension of the conveyor belt on both sides of the roller is inconsistent, and the traction force Fq received in the width direction is also inconsistent, which is an increasing or decreasing trend. This will cause the conveyor belt to add a moving force Fy in the decreasing direction , Causing the conveyor belt to deflect toward the loose side, so-called 'running loose but not tight'. The adjustment method is: for the head roller such as the conveyor belt deflecting to the right side of the roller, the bearing seat on the right side should move forward, and the P conveyor belt deflects to the left side of the roller, then the bearing seat on the left side should For forward movement, the left bearing housing or the right bearing housing can also be moved backward. The adjustment method of the tail roller is just the opposite of the head roller. After repeated adjustments until the conveyor belt is adjusted to a more ideal position. It is best to install its position accurately before adjusting the drive or changing the drum.   Differences in the diameter of the outer surface of the drum due to processing errors, sticky materials or abrasion are uneven, and the conveyor belt will deflect toward the side with the larger diameter. This is the so-called 'run big but not run small. The traction force Fq of the PVC conveyor belt generates a moving component force Fy toward the larger diameter side. Under the action of the component force Fy, the conveyor belt shifts. For this situation, the solution is to clean the surface of the drum adhesive, processing errors and uneven wear should be replaced and re-processed plastic coating.
