This production process artificially divides the manufacturing process of the transmission belt into several pieces, which cannot be connected; together with too many varieties and specifications of the transmission belt, the production batch is small, and the product changes frequently, which brings continuous and automated process equipment Many difficulties, the production efficiency is very low. The current development trends abroad are: First, we are working hard to realize the continuous production of processes, improving the level of equipment control, and promoting the production efficiency to a large extent: Second, we continue to expand the use of liquid elastomers such as polyurethane to fundamentally simplify the process, shorten the process, and change Traditional rubber processing method. Now, the liquid polyurethane processing technology has occupied a dominant position in small and micro belts, and the prospects are very optimistic.  Furthermore, the blending of short fiber rubber is also a major issue in the current transmission belt industry in the world. How to make the short fibers evenly dispersed in the rubber, and to solve the resulting phenomenon of high viscosity of the rubber compound, resulting in a drop in production efficiency, requires new breakthroughs in mixing methods and control methods. In addition, the fiber alignment of short-fiber rubber is another problem that cannot be ignored. Usually, the method of using calenders and extruders to orient the glue and take out the sheets, and take the sheets according to the flow direction is not the best policy. Non-woven fabrics and composite sheets are the direction of future development.   2 Future goals    Throughout the development trend of the world's transmission belts for more than half a century, with the rapid development of global high-tech industrialization, the mainstream of transmission belts in the future will be toward miniaturization, precision and high speed. Old-fashioned flat belts will be gradually eliminated, and new endless flat belts will rise again; cutting triangle belts will replace most of the wrapped V-belts, and the V-shaped flat belts, multi-ribbed belts, and toothed belts that have come together New mainstream products. China's manufacturers of transmission belts are very messy. In addition to 200 state-owned and foreign-funded enterprises, there are more than 1,000 collective, private and individual-owned enterprises. Only V-belt products have an annual output of more than 400 million A meters. Although the output is already at the forefront of the world, only a few have a small scale. Except for a few imported technology equipment and joint ventures, most of them are in a backward state and urgently need to be reorganized, transformed and reformed. Adjusting the structure of the transmission belt industry, eliminating old products, developing innovative products, and catching up with the world's advanced technical level of transmission belts are arguably the most urgent tasks.
