The China International Textile Machinery Exhibition & ITMA Asia Exhibition has a long history and is jointly organized by the China Textile Machinery Association, the Textile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the European Textile Machinery Manufacturers' Committee.
The 2025 China International Textile Machinery Exhibition and ITMA Asia Exhibition (Singapore) is an important milestone in the development of international textile machinery exhibitions. Its historical background can be traced back to the long-term cooperation and regional strategic adjustment between ITMA brand and CITME exhibition.
ITMA Brand Origin
ITMA (International Textile Machinery Exhibition) has been hosted by the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers (CEMATEX) since 1951 and is held every four years in Europe. It is known as the "barometer" of the global textile machinery industry. The scale of the Milan exhibition in 2023 will reach 200000 square meters, covering 1709 exhibitors from 47 countries.
In 2001, CEMATEX held its first ITMA ASIA exhibition in Singapore, and in 2005, the second edition was still held in Singapore.
In 2008, ITMA ASIA merged with the China International Textile Machinery Exhibition (CITME) to form the "ITMA ASIA+CITME" joint exhibition, which was held every two years in Shanghai. The 2024 Shanghai exhibition attracted 1700 exhibitors with an exhibition area of 160000 square meters.
The organizer has chosen Singapore as the second host city for the first time under the ITMA ASIA+CITME framework to deepen market coverage in South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. The exhibition covers an area of 70000 square meters and gathers 770 exhibitors from 33 countries, marking the diversified layout of ITMA brand in Asia.
The China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA) has been continuously cooperating with CEMATEX in Europe since 2008, promoting technical exchanges and market integration through joint exhibitions. In 2025, the Textile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT TEX) will be added as a co organizer to further strengthen the integration of international resources.
